30 years had passed. Aria was now 97 years old. Obi Wan had died 2 years ago. Once again the two friends had been called to fight despite their age. The galaxy needed the two of them to fight against a madman that had been trying to destroy the galaxy once more. Obi did not want to go. He didn't want to fight since they were to old. But Aria, being as stubborn as she was, convinced him to fight along side her once more. However she could not save Obi. He was killed right infront of her and there was nothing she could do. It would haunt her till the day she died. She would always blame herself. The two were best friends. They were like siblings. They were always there for eachother. Aria remembered that day clearly. She tried to convince Obi not to die. That she could help him. They had promised to do everything together, Even dying. Alexander had died almost 27 years ago. Omega was back. Alexander went off to face him. Aria wanted to go with her little cousin but he wouldn't let her. He had died in the fight. Alex had won but it costed him his life. Aria's only living relative was dead. This devastated her and brought her to the brink of going to the darkside. Luckily Zey was able to help her come back. Zey....she was another one who had died. Aria's final padawan. her second most loyal padawan. There had been an attack on the enclave. Zey died defending Aria. Wrath had disappeared. No one was sure where he had gone. Aria just figured he was some where in the galaxy waiting for the opportune moment to come. She didn't know what or when it was but it didn't matter. She knew he would be back. Then there were those that were already dead. Elijah, Vengence, her mother and father, Fyero, Neko, Selene. She had lost everyone close to her. Aria had always wondered why she was made to suffer. She never fully understood it. Now it was her turn. Her turn to die. Her turn to follow her friends and family. Never to return. Aria had lived a long life. now here she lay on her death bed. Inches from death. She was surrounded by fellow jedi and her nephew, Fate. "Aunt Aria don't go. Your the only family I have." Fate cried "It's my time Fate. We all must go sometime. My time is now. There is no stopping it." Aria said solumly "But you can live longer." "I know but the thing is I don't want to. My life has been filled with pain. Death is my only relief now. I gladly welcome it." "Master Aria who is to take over the Enclave?" One of the Jedi asked "I think....I think I will leave it to Fate. He is more then capable of taking care of things here." "Master are you sure about that?" "I wouldn't have chosen him if I didn't think he could handle it. Fate is strong, brave and smart. He's just like his father. I believe in him. You should too." "Thank you Aunt Aria. I promise I won't let you down." Fate smiled with a tear rolling down his face "It's time.....Take care of them Fate....They are in your hands now." Fate clasped her hand in his. He didn't look away till she stopped breathing and became one with the force. Everyone in the room was silent. fate mouthed the words May The Force Be With You and wiped a tear from his face. His last relative was gone. Aria would find relief from her suffering in the next life. Her life wasn't easy and she had always wanted to die because of it. But she never could. There was always someone that needed her but now since life was peaceful she could leave with out fear or regret. So ends the tale of Aria Mylin. Jedi Master, friend, sister and cousin. |
